Tech Notes Tip
New Features in Trimble Survey Controller
-When in the Map screen of SC 11.32, if you click
and hold on the “Map” Main Screen Button, you
have some additional options like turning on/off the
widescreen and setting up some default zoom
levels (cool) Alt-W also allows for you to turn on/off
widescreen.
-The
file name in the Trimble Data Directory for
copying Dial Profiles from one controller to another
is called dialprofiles.xml.
-Check Target ID to Always if you want to use an
Active Tracking Technique when using the S6.
-You can also set some tracking delays (instrument
keep trying to track you while you walk behind
trees) to either 0 seconds (default) and 1,2, or 3
seconds.
-Use the SET button in SC basic to elevate the gun
without have to do a Station Set-up. Only works
when no station set-up has been defined. Quick,
Easy, and what everyone that is used to the
Geodimeter CU wants.
-There are 2 new Description Fields (quick way to
key in notes) that have to be turned on. The setting
to turn them on is on the 2nd page of Properties of
current job. Can be then attached to points using a
custom export file format in SC.
-When doing continuous measurements with a TS,
there is a new setting to set some rod movement
tolerances to allow the user to do stop and go as
well as true continuous measurements at the
same time. When using an S6 or 5600, the track
light changes to reflect this as well.
-Offsets can be edited later in Review Current job.
New offset using 3 directions at once.
