Tech Notes Tip
Windows Mobile 2005 Operating
System
Users of the Windows Mobile 2005 Operating System may
experience slow running programs or applications loading slowly. This
Operating System is on the TSC2 and the 2005 Geo Explorer Series. This
is because when the device is in suspend mode, turned off, it will by
default try and sync every 15 minutes. To resolve this issue please
follow the following steps:
1- On the handheld, select
Start/Programs/Active Sync
2- Select Menu/Add Server Source and then enter "test" into the server
address field
3- Select Next and then enter "test" into each of the 3 fields
4- Select Next and then clear: Contacts, Calendar, E-mail, and Tasks
Data Options
5- Select Finish
6- Select Menu/Schedule
7- Change both of the Sync during values to manual and then select ok
8- Select Menu/Options and then delete the Exchange Server you just
created
