GPS Base Station
Frontier Precision
currently has a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver at both its Colorado and
St. Cloud
locations. The GPS base station collects GPS information every hour, 24 hours
a day. Frontier Precision's receiver converts GPS satellite signals into
position, velocity, and time estimates. These three dimensions are important
for surveying, geodetic control, and plate tectonic research. Frontier
Precision clients benefit from the GPS information received at the Colorado
and St. Cloud
base stations due to the precise time signals and controlled, accurate
frequencies generated by our receivers.
